Arrival by train

From Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof (main train station) the R 65 train calls at the stop “TU Lichwiese”. Alternatively, take a train to Darmstadt Hauptbahnhof then take bus K which has “TU Lichtwiese” as its final stop.

Arrival by airplane

Frankfurt International Airport is a central hub in Germany and Europe. From the airport there is a bus that goes straight to the Darmstadt main train station: the HEAG-Airliner Shuttle Bus takes only 25 minutes. The bus departs from Bus Stop 14 across the street from the exit doors of Terminal 1 at the airport. The bus usually departs every 1/2 an hour. You can download the timetable HEAG mobilo GmbH.

From Darmstadt/Hauptbahnhof take Bus K to “TU Lichtwiese”.

Arrival by car

Motorway A5 (Frankfurt – Basel) or motorway A67 (Cologne – Mannheim), exit Darmstädter Kreuz, from there head to Darmstadt Stadtmitte. Follow the signs “TU-Lichtwiese”. Depending on the time of day, the journey by car through the city centre takes between 15 and 20 minutes.
